Our Story
Universal Home Health Care, Inc. was founded in 2005 after we witnessed a heartbreaking pattern in our community. Many elderly individuals and those living with cognitive or physical impairments were being placed in nursing homes where they struggled with language barriers, unfamiliar food, and environments that felt foreign and isolating. These challenges often led to feelings of abandonment and a rapid decline in their overall well-being.
At the same time, we saw families doing everything they could—working long hours, caring for children, and still trying to support their aging loved ones. Without proper support, many felt they had no choice but to turn to institutional care, even when it wasn’t the best fit for their loved one’s cultural, emotional, or personal needs.
We knew there had to be a better way.
Universal Home Health Care, Inc. was created to offer that better way: compassionate, culturally sensitive in-home care that allows individuals to remain where they feel safest and most understood—at home. What began as a small, community-driven effort has grown into a trusted provider serving families throughout the state of Wisconsin. Yet our heart remains the same: to honor the dignity, independence, and humanity of every person we serve.

Who qualifies for Home Health Care Services?
Elderly, physically and cognitively impaired individuals who are homebound and in need of personal care services may qualify.
Do I need a Doctor’s referral to receive services?
Yes, a physician’s order is required for most of our home health services. We can help coordinate with your doctor to initiate care.
Is Home Health Care covered by insurance?
How quickly can services begin after a referral?
We strive to begin care as quickly as possible—often within 24 to 48 hours after receiving a physician’s order and completing the initial evaluation.
Are your Caregivers and Clinicians licensed and trained?
Absolutely. All of our nurses and aides are fully licensed or certified, experienced, and undergo background checks and continuing education to ensure quality care.
